1. Why do shipping costs differ for the same 100-inch screen compared to other suppliers?
When comparing prices on Alibaba, customers often notice significant differences in shipping costs for the same 100-inch screen.
It is important to understand:
International shipping costs are based on packaging size and packaging weight, not the screen size itself.
This is because what is actually shipped is the packaged product, not the bare screen.
For example:
Supplier A packaging size: 1360 × 360 × 280 mm, gross weight 15 kg
Supplier B packaging size: 1470 × 370 × 370 mm, gross weight 26 kg
Based on volumetric weight calculation:
Supplier A: approx. 27 kg chargeable weight
Supplier B : approx. 41 kg chargeable weight
Therefore, even with the same 100-inch screen, shipping costs may differ significantly due to differences in packaging protection standards.
2. How is shipping cost calculated?
International logistics charges are based on:
Actual weight (gross weight)
or
Volumetric weight (dimensional weight)
Whichever is greater will be used for billing.

1470 × 370 × 370 mm
Gross weight: 26 kg
After volumetric calculation:
Chargeable weight ≈ 41 kg

5. Why might Alibaba logistics require additional shipping charges later?
Alibaba logistics usually charges on a:
"Prepaid estimate basis"
Once the goods arrive at Alibaba's warehouse, they will recheck:
If it exceeds the prepaid amount, an additional payment will be required.
If this occurs, we will notify the customer immediately.
By choosing Alibaba logistics, customers agree in advance to:

6. Why is wooden crating sometimes required, and why does it increase shipping cost?
To ensure safe transportation of large screens, some carriers may require:
Wooden frame (pallet)
or
Wooden crate
After adding wooden packaging:
Package dimensions will increase
Volumetric and gross weight will increase significantly
Shipping cost will also increase accordingly
Whether wooden packing is required will be confirmed and communicated before shipment based on carrier requirements.
